Welcome to St Helen's Church
Sharing God's Love with people we meet wherever we are
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York are calling for Church of England churches to put public worship on hold and become a “different sort of church” in the coming months to face the challenge of coronavirus.
Our village church is one of the oldest in Lancashire with parts of the church building dating back to the 12th century. Located across the river Lune, south-west of Lancaster and close to where the Lune flows out to the Irish Sea, we are part of the
deanery of Lancaster & Morecambe, in the
Diocese of Blackburn and
The Church of England.
We meet for a regular service each Sunday at 10:45am and ALL are welcome to come along. A Junior Church service for our younger folk takes place in the church vestry during the service too. Our services last for just over 1 hour and there is coffee and biscuits served afterwards.
Are you new to the church or the area? If so, you are especially welcome! Please do check out our
New to Church page to get more information.
